Teresa’s Story

“[A Working Idaho Families Tax Credit] could mean a safety net for my family, to know we can have a little more comfortably with money for emergency expenses or any expenses that come with having a family of six.”

-Teresa

Teresa Garcilazo has four kids younger than eight years old, and she wants to invest in their education and future. If she received an Idaho Working Families Tax Credit, she believes she could do that.

Teresa, who works as a certified nursing assistant in Mountain Home, just had twins. She loves being a mom. But raising four young children is expensive for her and her fiancé, in addition to what they pay for housing, car payments and other expenses. Their household is one of 4,127 in Idaho’s Legislative District 23 that would benefit from an Idaho Working Families Tax Credit. Teresa believes it would make a tangible difference for her family.
